Over the last few years at CSG, we’ve worked hard to put sustainability at the forefront of our practice. We’re now proud to say that we have systems in place that help us re-purpose 85% of the vinyl we print, supply and install. This includes the backing liner.
After trialling a copious amount of products, we now have an expansive selection of eco-conscious alternatives to our most popular materials.
Over 10 years ago, we made the switch, to completely remove any use of solvent-based ink within our studio. We now print all our vinyl on water-based latex ink printers and our rigid substrates through UV ink-based printers. This decision has helped us drastically reduce our environmental impact, whilst increasing the quality of our products.
Working alongside Metamark’s MetaStream project, we’ve been able to reduce the number of linear products we use significantly, this constantly allows us to offset our carbon emissions and reduce our carbon footprint.
MetaStream® is a certified closed-loop recycling initiative that recovers all production waste and end-user products produced using qualified Metamark products, turning them into useful articles that can themselves be recycled time and again. This circular recycling initiative has far-reaching scope for application keeping valuable resources out of landfill and incineration streams and enabling environmentally responsible operation and growth of the signage, graphics and allied industries.
Being situated within one of the UK’s most renowned exhibition centres, Excel London and making a conscious effort to put these steps into place, puts CSG at the forefront of the industry as a truly eco-friendly print studio.
We are a fully accredited member of FESPA.
